Afterwards, the area should be rinsed with fresh water and blotted dry.

When dealing with ink on carpets, CP SOLV should be lightly sprayed over the ink without rubbing. The ink can then be blotted into a clean cloth, and the area should be rinsed with fresh water to remove any residue. For glue on surfaces, a small amount of CP SOLV should be applied to a cloth and wiped over the glue. Light agitation may be required, and the surface should be wiped off with fresh water.

In laundry applications, a small amount of CP SOLV should be dabbed onto an ink stain and left for five minutes before putting the garment into the washing machine. When using CP SOLV as a parts cleaner, it should be mixed in a 50/50 ratio with water in a tank. The parts can then be placed in the tank and allowed to sit for 10 minutes.
